One of the last 4ADs SM1500 to be built before Singer went bankrupt and then taken over by the Rootes Group
This car has been totally restored including a new ash frame in the 1980s and more recently a respray, newly upholstered leather seats, new tyres, battery, starter motor, windscreen wiper motor, carburettor rebuild, and an addition of a water temperature gauge
The twin carburettors,, 4 Speed gearbox and original 1500cc engine makes this 4 seater tourer an excellent performer able to tackle the steepest of hills and able to cruise at 60mph with an average of 30mpg consumption
Supplied with hood, tonneau cover and original glass side screens all in excellent condition together with many spares, workshop manuals and Autocar test reports
During my 2 years of ownership I have driven over 4000 miles and won a first prize in a concours competition at the Singer Owners Club national rally in 2023
