1966 Vespa Douglas 125 (Super). Purchased in 2012 for £2000. The flywheel on the original engine (125cc) broke so a new engine was installed in 2012 (200cc - £450). The original engine will be sold with the Vespa.
The throttle sticks and the Scooter hasn't been used since 2013 (the Vespa is stored in my office). The paintwork needs redone as it has bubbled (as can be seen in photographs). This is really a project for a Vespa enthusiast and thus the price (below what I paid).
The Scooter is on Sorn (keep off the road) and will need to be registered for road use.
Great little bike and a brilliant bit of history. Would love to restore the Vespa to its original state but I do not have the time or money to spend on this project.
Really is a reluctant sale. Love having it but it needs to go to a home where it will be restored and used. 1966 Vespa - Two seats, white wheel rims, a real classic that represents a great time in history (1960s). What is there not to love about this scooter?
