Description

Stunning Cadillac hearse custom. This sinister and cool car is a 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Miller Meteor hearse (same year and model as Elvis's funeral hearse). It was imported in 2016 and was used as a working hearse until 2020 when it was restored and customised. Over the deep glossy black paint the car has dark silver flames edged in bright silver pinstripe. Matching the flames are a set of 20 inch American Racing 5 spokes wrapped in Goodyear Eagle low profile tyres, all of which have plenty of tread. Inside the factory original grey brocade interior is in good shape and the dash and headliner is excellent. In the back the car comes with a genuine metal American casket. All the original coffin rollers, pegs and clamps are complete and in working order. Remove the coffin and the vehicle has a vast space for transporting whatever is required. Would make a fantastic motorbike hauler, creepy camper van or lots of promotional potential as this thing turns heads like no other vehicle I have owned. The hearse headliner is a deep red festooned silk material and is in perfect condition, matching the side and rear red curtains. At the front of the car is a chrome skull hood ornament that sits above the Cadillac V emblem, at the flick of a switch it eyes illuminate and change colour. Similarly the car has underside neon lighting for atmospheric night cruising. This car is the ultimate Halloween accessory! All carpets are excellent throughout the car. I have driven this hearse the length of the country for publicity stunts etc and it is incredibly reliable and comfortable, I would confidently drive this car anywhere - it drives as a Cadillac should with it's huge lazy 472 cubic inch V8 burbling away. The car benefits from front power disc brakes, power steering and is a pleasure to drive despite its vastness. The underside of the car is rust free and solid, the bodywork is similarly clean with any minor corrosion having been addressed prior to painting. The deeply glossy paintwork presents well with some occasional scratches and touch ups. The car also comes with its original Cadillac white band wheels and hubcaps which are in perfect condition. I have owned over 40 classic American vehicles in my life, however, this one has been the most fun to experience, I am hoping that the next owner has similar stories from this unique and wonderful car.
