A very rare sight these days with hardly any left on the road according to how many left website.
One of the most complete/ correct examples left on the road.
If you google the number plate you can see articles and videos from when it was a Press Car previous to me owning it.
It’s a 2 litre 8 valve , 5 speed manual with 71450 miles on the clock.
It has an extensive service history with stacks of paperwork, old mots, receipts etc including the original handbook pack/ wallet (as seen in the photograph)
The service and advisory free mot was carried out in February and the car hasn’t been used since .
Before I bought it it had quite a lot of work including genuine discs and pads all round, rear wheel bearings, genuine battery, genuine windscreen. Bilstein dampers, brake hoses in the past 3 years but hardly done any miles in that time. Had a window wiper motor fitted today as they were struggling to move 30/ 08/ 24. In the short time I've owned the car I've spent £750 to improve what was already a good car.
The car drives really well, with no crashes, bangs or unwanted noises.
The underside is in very good condition.
The spec is as can be seen in the photographs- Electric windows, electric mirrors, seat radio cassette player, pop out rear windows, central locking. 2 keys.
Car can been seen on YouTube if you Google the reg. V493 EOD . Had a full spec review and test drive in 2020 but mileage only gone up 2k since.
Car drive faultless and looks amazing.
Work I've just had done: key fob repaired, all lacquer peel on roof , mirror and bumper repaired. Crack on the dash has been repaired plus window wiper motor fitted.
Only selling as I have no room to keep as I have another MK2 being restored and will be back shortly.

If I could keep I would get the cambelt changed and headlights cleaned inside , apart from that I know of no faults with the car . You will love this car if you are a fan of the hot hatches from the 1990's . This will become a classic as it's completely original with no modifications like so many of the few left on the roads. It drives faultless , looks amazing and brings a smile every time you drive it.
