Rare 1978 Acoma Super Comtesse micro car (like bubble car / Isetta / Peel Moped). This is the deluxe 4-wheel version, which is quite amusing, I’ve only ever seen other similar models of this car in museums and private car collections. Tax and MOT exempt due to its age.
Originally a French design, based on a 49cc moped engine that could be legally driven without the need for a licence. Fibreglass body in good condition, the car is all complete, currently non-running due to the motobecanne engine needing a service. I’ve had the car running previously, however since the engine was removed for service, been unable to find time to complete and have the old tyres replaced.
The car has a chassis plate and VIN details etc., so can be legally registered with the DVLA for road use. Gets lots of attention and my daughter has enjoyed using it in our back garden. Engine components readily available, since it is based off a standard moped engine.
Comes with 2 keys for the front bonnet where the fuel tank is located. Suitable for adults up to 6ft plus surprisingly, with a bench seat that is original and comfortable.
Being offered for sale as moving house, however if it remains unsold, I will have it sent to the local garage to get up and running when time permits.
