Description
This Piaggio PX125 Disc Vespa was registered 9/ 9/ 99 and has had seven previous owners, the last being my scooter enthusiast friend who carried out a full restoration at 17530 miles and sold it to me in April 2019. I’ve added ~300 dry miles per year to get to the 18759 miles that you’ll see on the last MOT cert 02/ 04/ 24. * Note that the cert wrongly records this Vespa as a PK125. It is a PX as stated on the V5 and I have informed the DVLA of this*. The restoration included an increase in cc (now 166cc), braided hoses and a fully upgraded exhaust system. A tune-up by the fantastic Scooterotica of Ripon has resulted in an extremely reliable scooter with 14bhp - double that of a standard PX125. History shows that this scooter originated in Leeds before migrating to the north east. It is in excellent condition (including the underside) with just a couple of stone chips on the front mudguard. All three Michelin tyres are at ~3mm. I ride this scooter all year round, but only in the dry, and it gets a wipe over and a grease up regularly. I’ve just fitted two new bulbs ready for the dark nights. However, I have a motorcycle too, and I’m not riding either enough, so sadly it is the scooter that is the one to go.
