Description
Douglas Dragonfly 2 horizontal opposed cylinders, 350cc, air cooled. Frame No: 1346/ 6 with later gearbox No: 1816/ 6 registered January 1956.
Bike completely refurbished over the winter 23/ 24 and features British Hub front and rear brakes/ hubs, with new tyres, battery, coil (lost spark system) and many other parts mainly purchased from Douglas MCC.
Included in the sale are Maintenance and Spare Parts manuals. Douglas motorbike manufacture commenced in 1907 and continued up until 1957. The last model the Dragonfly with distinctive looks and good handling was only produced for two years.
The history and technically advanced design for the time motivated me into overhauling and exhibiting this now rare bike at various local shows where it won several awards.
Unfortunately the time has now come to sell this unique British classic bike.
