This fire engine, a Dennis F8 with Rolls Royce petrol engine, was restored by a friend over a period of approximately 12 years and has been little used since. My friend is a very skilled engineer and has done things properly with no expense or effort spared to ensure this is both reliable and will last another 70 plus years. New tyres were fitted and are in good condition. He owned it for a long time. I bought it as my father was a fireman and used to drive these, he’s 88 this year, so for his last Birthday wanted to surprise him when the opportunity came to purchase it. It is dry stored and in fully operational condition - although the pump is not recently tested. The accessories are a bit hit and miss with some items likely missing from the original inventory and the hoses in poor condition but are aesthetically ok.
I will add to this listing during the week, as I have a ton of information and pictures, but wanted to get the ad live today with what I have available now. It has a massive history file, manuals, service log book and documented photolog of the restoration. It is a lovely thing! It needs to go to a good home. Happy to loan to a bonefide museum. I need the space as have acquired more race cars in my collection. Thanks for looking.
