Built in the mid 90s this Formula 27 is externally a fairly close copy of a Lotus 7 Series 2, it’s stated as a Formula 27 on the V5 and as such is tax and MOT exempt.
The engine is a 2. 0L Twin Cam from an 80s Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV. It has around 130 bhp, the gearbox is the ubiquitous Ford Type 9 five speed, rifle bolt short shifting guaranteed.
The chassis however is unusual in that it has adjustable inboard mounted coilovers front and back and the leading arm rear axle location is pretty much unique in the locost world.
I have recently replaced a few things, these being mainly new wheels, new tyres, new seat belts, new updated and geared starter motor, new interior and a new windscreen. I also added new rear lights and exterior mirror to underline the old school feel.

Also included are a matching set of yellow front cycle wings if that is what you prefer but for me it’s the flowing wings that make the car.
