Offered for sale my wife’s 2001 Mercedes SLK 230. We’ve owned this car for over 3 years and can honestly say it’s been one the most reliable cars we’ve owned and has given us so many fantastic days out with top down motoring, she’s a great driving car with plenty of performance from the 2. 3 litre Kompressor engine. We actually owned a later R171 SLK 350 before buying ‘Jet’ and have always preferred the early car. The car is only offered for sale as we’re moving, won’t be able to store her and really only have a need for a single car…. we will miss this car dearly!
Being a 2001 model she’s a facelift example, features the better 2. 3 litre Kompressor engine, switchable automatic gearbox, comes finished in Metallic Black, Designo duo-tone interior, wood pack, heated seats, genuine 17” staggered AMG alloys with a matched set of Avon tyres, Kenwood single CD, genuine Mercedes SLK mats, plus all the unusual SLK refinements.
In our ownership we’ve refurbished the alloys, continued with regular servicing and have tried to minimise use over the winter months with the car either in dry storage or covered in and expensive and breathable outdoor cover, this comes with the car too.
The car shows just over 83k miles, comes with 2 keys, book pack, history (11 service stamps) and the registration shown (a very similar registration is offered online in excess of £1500!). She has excellent MOT history and valid until May ‘25, can extend for genuine buyer.
We would say the car is in very good condition given she’s a 24yr old SLK.
