Description
For sale is an absolutely unique Montgomery 300sv JAP from 1923 - the only known example in the world! The Montgomery brand stands for exclusivity and quality. Only the best components were used in the factory in Coventry, England. The small number of Montgomerys produced today makes them rarer by far than most other classics. Production ended with the Second World War, but their reputation as high-quality and luxurious motorbikes remains unforgotten. Technical details in brief: - Engine: 300cc side-controlled JAP engine - Gearbox: Sturmey Archer 3-speed manual gearbox - Carburettor: Brown & Barlow - Ignition: Lucas magneto - Saddle: Terry "Spring Seat" - Lighting: Luxor acetylene with dimmer switch - Frame: Typical Montgomery design with bare upper frame tube The Montgomery is in TOP restored condition. It starts well, can be ridden and has a brutally powerful sound. A lot is known about its history, most of which is documented, and other data sheets are also available. It is in my private collection in Switzerland and can be delivered anywhere in Europe by prior arrangement.
