Exterior:
The exterior of the Steyr-Puch is finished in the beautiful color Mint-Grün. Underneath the car are beautiful, original steel rims that are finished in cream white, as is the roof. Furthermore, the Steyr-Puch is equipped with chrome bumpers, chrome door handles and chrome moldings. The bodywork strongly resembles that of the Fiat 500, because from 1957 Steyr-Puch started building the 500D under license from Fiat, recognizable by the beautiful suicide doors and the removable plastic roof.
Interior:
The interior of this Steyr-Puch is in a very neat condition and fully restored to original, finished in beige. Furthermore, the car has a odometer, indicator switch and windshield wiper switch. The interior is in a neat condition!
The technology:
The technology of the Steyr-Puch 500D is very well maintained. The engine, a 493cc 2-cylinder that delivers a power of 16 hp, is neatly maintained and runs well! The gearbox is very smooth and the car drives, steers and brakes well!
History:
This Steyr-Puch 500D was delivered new in Vienna, Austria on May 6, 1960 to Dr. Konrad Burg. In 1989, the car was acquired and ended up in a collection where it eventually underwent an extensive restoration. The work took more than 5 years and cost more than 20, 000 euros. The restoration started in 2015 and was completed in 2020, the restoration was done by an Italian specialist. The car also still has its original engine!
