Hello putting my Beat up for sale!
MOT is in October, otherwise while I do have some cool paper bits from japan with it, the paper history is limited.
Everything on the car works as it should, except that the LCD of the aftermarket radio doesn't work (its so basic it doesn't affect function anyway).
It start perfectly, warms up well and runs great. the battery is strong. I believe that all it needs mechanically at the moment is a service (although the front discs were marked as pitted on MOT, they should have life left in them)
I think the soft hood has been changed recently as its in almost perfect condition.
I bought it since these are even rarer in yellow and already have an AZ-1 but looking at another car now. also has some nice factory options: spoiler, mudgards, extra speakers.
The only mods it has is the exhaust (not boomy but still fun) and the radio (along with a wrapped center console to hide the install I assume)
The bad bits I have found during my ownership:
-Missing center mirror, I use a suction cup one but you can easily buy a new OEM one on ebay
-Various little paint chips and scratches on the front and rear bumpers
-A single rust bubble coming from under the paint on the driver side rocker panel (as noted on MOT)
-A single point of rust on the underside of the car, bottom of the driver footwell. This will require repairs in the future.
Im trying to be as honest with any sign of rust of the car as possible, but otherwise understand the car underneath is very clean with only either showing very light rust coloration on unpainted surfaces, or the untouched yellow paint in good condition underneath as well. I know it was brought in the UK by a honda dealership owner and displayed inside there for most of its UK life. When that owner retired, the manager of that dealership bought it who kept it mostly as sentimental value. I was the next owner.
While I am planning to go to japfest Silverstone with it soon, I will consider offers for a quick sale to an enthusiast since I'm looking at another car right now, but if that opportunity passes I will be patient and keep this price.
