Very low mileage 1989 Caterham 1. 8 VVC.
Original owner/ user sadly recently passed away. He was a well known Arctic explorer and sea captain, who must not have had time to use the car as it was stored in his garage most of its life. It was purchased directly from his estate. The car has a current MOT and recent check over and service from very reputable engineers, and a good shakedown and recommission and check over by myself. Starts immediately and drives commensurate with its mileage. I have owned numerous 7’s -S1 L7 to Blackbird, and these VVC models are, in my opinion one of the best if looked after, as they are lightweight engines, smooth running with more power at higher revs. They actually suit a Caterham perfectly. This car is as smooth running as I have experience but considering the mileage that’s not surprising.

Intererior hood and side screens are excellent.
The car has been undersealed as seen on the ECU box photo. It looks somewhat messy but a good addition.
Built by Caterham and one owner.
Has a seven letter/ number plate , however the option to purchase S6VUN is available if a shorter plate is required.
As you can see form the photos this is a beautiful looking Caterham. I had decided to keep it for myself but a 60’s Lotus recommission project has came available so I may sadly part with the car. Also a friend is looking for a restored Europa, early Lotus 7 or early Elan so might consider a Part Ex - cash either way.

Price is a very reasonable £14995 for a straight sale. Retail I’m sure this would be quite a bit more.
Bad points - the wheels - I’m not a fan of ML’s - they don’t do this car justice at all. It deserves better !
I think if anyone is wanting a Caterham you would not fine a nicer one for this figure and with such low mileage - 3500.
No real bad marks or accident damage externally on the aluminium or fibreglass bodywork.
