Ducati Monster M900 1994 / 93
A very reluctant sale of my M900 - made in 93 but registered January 94. I have cherished this bike for the 5 years I have had it. I never envisioned selling it on, but due to a change in circumstances and a new focus on riding on track it's time for it it make someone else happy.
I semi restored the bike 2 years ago, it ran and rode perfectly fine before but I wanted to touch a few things up. The list is as follows;
- Belts and Valve Clearances done less than 1500 miles ago
- Brand new tank from Ducati upon semi restoration, no concerns about fuel leaking from the hinge at all - Tank was £2000
- Ohlins rear shock
- Nearly brand new Bridgestone BT016 tyres front and rear, still have the tyre hairs on them
- Frame powder coated at time of semi restoration
- Wheels powder coated black at time of semi restoration
- Custom colour, found on SR2 Monsters. Colour is a Ducati colour but wasn't available on the bike when new
- I am the 16th owner and had the bike for around 5 years.
- Starter motor replaced at time of semi restoration
- Renthal sprockets and lighter chain, all fitted less than 1000 miles ago
- Bike has MOT until July
- Been garaged since I had it
- D and D cans, now unavailable to buy new. Consequently it sounds like Thor himself is coming down the road.
- Carbs balanced at MOT
- New headstock and wheel bearings when powder coated respectively
- Suspension all serviced when I bought the bike 5 years ago
There is some marring on the left hand engine casing - I will provide pictures as well. Unfortunately this casing was brand new when it was semi restored, but one of the first times riding it something came up from the road and has marred the finish. If I was keeping the bike this would be rectified, either by spraying the casing or by buying a new one. With my new focus on track riding this hasn't been the case.
The bike runs, rides and looks lovely. She has been ridden and so there are some age related marks but nothing too bad. She is currently on a private reg but will be returning back to the original upon sale.
Ideally I would like it to go to someone who will cherish it like I have - if it weren't for the change of heart on road riding it wouldn't be going anywhere.
