Our campervan is called Fergus and it has a 1. 6 petrol dual-port engine. The engine was replaced by the previous owners when the mileage was approximately 71, 000 miles. The mileage is now just over 81, 000, so there are just over 10, 000 miles on the newer engine. Fergus had a general makeover in 2010 by a previous owner, during which he was stripped bare and completely restored. We have a folder full of receipts and documentation from that restoration and have continued to keep detailed records of all work done since we’ve owned him, so he comes with a fairly comprehensive history. As part of our commitment to keeping Fergus in great shape, we recently had professional structural work carried out to maintain the integrity of the bodywork, followed by a high-quality respray on one side to keep him looking his best. This was all done proactively to preserve his condition and ensure he’s ready for many more years of adventures. There are some minor body repairs to do, as shared in the photos.
The interior is well fitted with a 3/ 4 rock and roll bed that’s easy to set up, plenty of storage units, and good lighting. The pop-top roof opens easily to provide generous headspace. It comes with a 2-ring gas hob and sink, along with a 2-way fridge that includes a small freezer compartment. There are fitted curtains and a small table that screws into the floor. The rear seats have also been fitted with two seat belts for safety and flexibility.
We’re happy to include several accessories, including a drive-away awning (used only a handful of times), a Fiamma bike rack for two bikes, cooking utensils (cutlery, plates, pots and pans etc.), levelling chocks, hook-up cable, and more.
Fergus has been a beloved part of our family, and we hope he will go to a home that will take him on many more amazing adventures. We fell in love with this classic VW T2 van the moment we saw it. There is something magical about the charm, character, and timeless style it brings, and every drive feels like an adventure, even if it’s just down the road. We bought it to create memories, to slow down and enjoy the journey, and to experience a piece of history that still turns heads and sparks conversations wherever it goes.
