1933 BSA Blue Star

Manufactured in 1932, this L32-5 350cc Blue Star was registered as VV1052 and delivered to Spokes of Northampton in October 1933. As you will gather from the pictures, it remains a project, albeit edging towards the closing straight (famous last words!). I have been working on her for the last four years or so and have endeavoured to source original parts wherever possible.
Recent additions have included an original battery box, headlight glass and original Amal twist grip throttle.
I have recently ordered the correct back brake pedal (reproduction from BOA Spares in Austria) a second toolbox as one of the originals is missing the lid (the new owner can fit or not) and a side stand. All of these are to the correct pattern and are of excellent quality.
A front brake rod and operating mechanism is en route from Denmark. This is also included.
The only other substitute part is the lower chainguard (also from BOA).
The instruments are all the correct originals and have recently been wired in. But not tested.
I briefly parted with the bike a while ago (long story) and was told by the then owner that he had the machine running.
The only notable part missing is the upper chainguard.
Depending on what condition the buyer wants to take the bike to it is either close to being test run or ready to disassemble as a concourse job.
The V5 is in my name, accompanied by most of the receipts for work as I've gone along.
Finally, there's a good supply of nuts, bolts, spanners and strange odds and ends that the buyer is welcome to. All I ask is that enquiries are serious and not based in fantasy.
