===============================This is the second T3 Triking I have built.
'Florence' in 2013 and this T3 in 2014.
I pioneered putting doors in a T3 by building 'Clarissa' (my brown one) in 2022-3. (my third build).
Starting with a bare metal chassis, the brief to myself was for no hinges or handles to be visible. It needed to give easy access and exit for my wife and me. Success.
So I decided to convert the blue one to a 2 door model. Body off strip down with spec virtually the same as on Clarissa. This would then give someone else the pleasure of driving a T3 if the limbs are getting a bit stiff.
Clarissa has done nearly 4000mls and this one over 400 since conversion. The construction has proved a complete success with no difference to handling or rigidity.
She has been maintained and serviced regularly over the years with many upgrades and improvements.
Fitting of Hagon Nitro shockers front and rear with necessary new suspension wishbones gave a complete transformation of ride comfort.
Seats were scuptured to give good support and comfort, allowing 400mls in a day without a problem.
The hood stows away in 2 zipped bags inside the Triking out of sight, always with you if you get caught out away from home with rain coming. Getting in and out with hood on is easy now she has doors.
The windscreen throws light rain over you when driving at out of town speeds and if there is prolonged rain, the hood will keep you completely dry.
