Description
This car was categorized as a CAT S however; the only panels I've replaced were the bonnet and passenger's side wing. Other than that, the car was having missing parts (nothing electrical) which were probably stolen in between when the car was sitting in storage somewhere for insurance valuation, and when it went to auction. I have purchased RS original parts - front RS bumper, rear RS bumper, front RS grill, RS steering wheel, RS front brake callipers, front brake pads, headlights, bonnet, left wing, boot foam for storage, wheels, and loads of other small bits taken from a donor TTRS from AP PARTS LTD in Rotherham UK. (- details above)
I've done the wheel alignment when replaced the tyres, (front ones are new) wheels were replaced, as it came from auction with some ugly Audi Q3 wheels, and the current ones were fully refurbished (no dents, no buckles). It had a full service in February 2025 with new oil, all filters and spark plugs. Engine was having a whistling noise which took me ages to fix. I have purchased a new rocker cover thinking it's the PCV valve, but this didn't fix the issue . The issue was eventually fixed by REPerformnce in Swindon UK; faulty vacuum pump. (- details above) .
It also had a full spanner-up to make sure everything is fine, brake fluid was changed and the Haldex was serviced too. I have loads of invoices for the parts, the one from tracking and the one from REPerformance.
Car is a Japan import so it's rust free; unfortunately, I don't have any service history. First UK MOT around April 2024 at 55463km (34664 miles), was recorded the odometer in kilometres instead of miles however, the DVLA website has the accurate info when using the original registration (not the private plate registration). When rocker cover was replaced, the camshafts look like new and I am confident that the mileage is genuine however, once again, I am unable to provide any service history. I have found some paperwork in the car which looks like a Japanese HPI report and it states the kilometres at the time of being exported. The odometer was reading 59154 km which is around 36. 800 miles (when purchased by myself in November 2024) and it's now on 37. 900miles. Current MOT expires in April 2026. I am driving it almost daily since mid-February to go to work and back. It's a joy to drive pulls like it should. Dunlop new tyres are a bit bulky, and they rub a bit in the back, but I will sort that before selling it.
Interior is in good condition too; I have replaced the head unit with an aftermarket one as the Clarion one was blocked by a code which I didn’t have.
I know it’s hard to believe that a 13-year-old car only has 38000 miles without any service history, and imported but I am confident that the mileage is genuine judging by the general wear and tear. I don’t blame the sceptically as I would probably be the same, but I am as honest as I can be, don’t let the above put you down; this is an amazing car – I am building cars in my spare time as a hobby, not to make profit, it’s very rare when these rebuilds even break even money wise – most of the work was done by myself but it was properly checked by more than one mechanic and everything is mint. It has also been through an MOT in April and no advisories whatsoever. Respray was done by a professional garage.
