This cab was supplied to a Liverpool owner in 1960.
It’s a rare example of a three-door fitted with a Perkins 499 diesel and three speed column change transmission.
The ash framed body is skinned in aluminum with fiberglass wings.
This cab is two tone in colour, black and red. It spent its working life in the City of Liverpool in the swinging sixties retiring from work in the mid-seventies.
Discovered in a Merseyside dock warehouse, it was restored to a high standard over a five-year period.
V5 – present, 8 former keepers, 2 sets of keys, Mileage – 41050.
Engine: 4-cylinder Perkins 499` diesel with column shift 3 speed transmission. After extensive refurbishment, "Ruby" has been used as a wedding car for the last 10 years.
She still has all her original features - a working meter in pounds, shillings and pence - 60's adverts within the cab - a rear bench seat and two folding backwards facing seats all with leather upholstery - the original fare scale chart - a stack of suitcases have been added to the luggage compartment for authenticity.
