The Korean armed forces demanded the replacement be based on the M606 jeep , the Wiilys was chosen because of its of parts compatibility with the Mitsubishi J601 as both models were used by the military with simple construction & long lasting durability while being easyto drive .
4000 of these K111's were used during the Iran/ Iraq war during the 1980s
This Rocsta was based on this K111 by adding plastic trim to inside & outside the vehicle no other part was changed with exception to fitting wider wheels and the legendary Mazda Magma diesel engine .
