For Sale is my 1986 Marlin Berlinetta
This an ongoing project. I intended to finish it properly, but due to a lack of spare time I won't realistically get around to it.
Based on a Ford Cortina
It has a running 2. 0 Ford Pinto Engine which has had a new timing belt, plug leads and spark plugs.
Type 9 5 Speed Gearbox
I believe it has an Atlas Rear Axle but please double check the photo.
Comes with Old Stock Convertible Hood Frame - unfortunately there is no hood
Body Work is in okay condition - could do with painting but the panels are in good order.
I have also carried out the following work:
Replaced both sills
Replaced gearbox crossmember with a detachable part - pictured
New Front Floor Boards
Re-wired Dashboard and rear electrics. The front requires re-wiring but not a big job.
Replaced alternator
New Electric Fan
Front suspension rebuild
Rear shock absorbers
It does still need some work but most of the big jobs have been completed. It is a good stage for someone with the time to take it over and finish it.
A great alternative to the classic British sports car.
V5c is present in my name.
