Originally a Californian farm jeep, this vehicle made it's way to a private collector here in Ireland approx. 6 years ago where it has been lovingly recomissioned to to museum worthy example it is today.
The body has been restored from the chassis up and the original Luzon Red paint from factory has been clearcoated over preserve both the paint and the natural pattina beneath. Entrie body has been rust treated.
Mechanically, this vehicle starts on the button and will cruise steadily at 80km/ h.
Differential bearings and seals have been replaced along with gearbox bearings, shims and seals & second gear sincromesh.
Under the hood, the engine rings, sleeves, bearings, camshaft, valves, valve springs & water pump have been replaced. Starter motor and alternator serviced also.
New 6 volt battery and wiring loom installed along with new gauges & dials. Original odometer has been preserved showing 33715. 6 miles. New odometer shows only 241 miles since installation.
Original glass with "Willy's" stamp is still in the vehicle along with oringal vin plates & rivets.
There are extra spares to come with the vehicle along with a spanner & socket set and full service manual. All old parts have also been kept for records.
