MY CLASSIC TRIALS SPRITE WAS MANUFACTURED IN 1965 BY FRANK HIPKIN. AN ACE TRIALS RIDER FROM THAT ERA. IT WAS PART OF A CONSIGNMENT THAT WAS INITIALLY SOLD IN THE EU, AND RETURNED TO THE UK IN 2010, WHERE IT RECEIVED A UK HISTORICAL VRN. THE BIKE WAS RESTORED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER, WITH THE VILLERS 9E 197cc ENGINE RECEIVING A NEW ROD KIT, REBORE, PISTON, BUSHES AND BEARINGS, CHAINS ETC WITH MACHINING ACCOMPLISHED BY, AND ELECTRIX WORLD IGNITION FITTED, BY VILLIERS LTD. THE 4 SPEED GEARBOX HAS BEEN SORTED WITH TRIALS GEARING, AND SELECTORS RENEWED. NEW CHAINS BOTH FRONT AND REAR. THE FORKS HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND FILLED WITH LIGHTWEIGHT OIL. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND THE LININGS ARE VERY GOOD. THE WHEEL BEARINGS ARE ALSO VERY GOOD IN THE ORIGINAL BRITISH HUB COMPANY HUBS. THE RIMS ARE AKRONT. THE HANDLEBARS ARE RENTHAL, AND CABLES VENHILL. THE AMAL Mk1 CARB HAS ALSO BEEN REFURBISHED WITH NEW NEEDLE, JETS ETC. MY REASON FOR ADVERTISING MY BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC TRIALS BIKE:- I AM NOW RETIRED FROM SERIOUS TRIALS COMPETITION AS FROM JANUARY THIS YEAR. I BOUGHT IT IN 2023 HOPING IT WOULD GIVE ME A COUPLE OF MORE YEARS COMPETING IN CLASSIC PRE65 EVENTS, BUT AT AGE 82, I'VE NOW HUNG UP MY BOOTS. THE BIKE CAN BE TESTED, BY APPOINTMENT, OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
