I bought this Himalayan at the end of last year, it has been kept in my living room, run-in meticulously and used very carefully.
I've owned a Himalayan 411 and a Scram 411 and the 450 is a big step forward in design and build quality as well as the obvious performance advantage. The suspension is particularly good on the 450 when you ride them back to back. The bike will sit happily at 70 on the motorway two up and return 90mpg + on a gentle run.
The fit and finish is so much better, quality items like stainless spokes on tubeless aluminium Akront rims, DID chain and Showa suspension front and back etc etc.
I rode the CFMoto 450 MT before buying this, the MT looks and sounds great but in my opinion its over-firm and the suspension isn't as well tuned. The high-speed damping on the Himalayan is far superior.
The new Himalayan isn't a plodder like the old one was, it likes to be revved and really comes alive. Also, the six speed box allows for a lower first gear than the 411 so low speed manouvering I think is easier.
First service at 300 miles. I've also been through it and checked everything. Copper-slipped the calipers, oiled the clutch cable properly and greased all the pivot points etc.
There will be a few tiny marks on the bike that you can find, but exactly what you'd expect for 2500 sunny miles, it's basically new and any inspection is welcome.
I am selling because I've bought back a classic BMW I restored a few years ago and can only obsess about one bike at a time :)
