Arctic Blue paint with chrome trim accents, Pearl Beige leather-trimmed interior with contrasting black upper dashboard and door card sections. Unmarked 15-inch ‘Style 5’ cross-spoke light alloy wheels.
The factory specification includes: a rear spoiler, a three-spoke leather-trimmed M-Technic steering wheel, an electric sunroof, a trip computer, a heated rear windscreen, a green top-tinted front windscreen, electric windows, a rare period-correct Alpine 7279LS removable cassette stereo head unit, air conditioning, a cigarette lighter, and electrically adjustable door mirrors. This is a well maintained modern classic that can be driven every day.
Over the last 12 months I have : Replaced all fluids, fuel filter, oil filter and spark plugs. Refurbished electric windows. Refurbished all interior leather. New Tyres, pads and discs. New under bonnet fuel lines. New Bonnet insulation. New front fog lamps. New distributer cap, plugs, and all sensors. New Powered Radio Antenna. New coolant and vacuum hoses. New Sunroof seal
There are some things that have never made it to my to do list :
Aircon – a previous owner disconnected the belt and as it is the original R12 system I haven't looked into it any further. I use the sunroof instead.
Windscreen is a bit milky in a corner. It is awaiting the inevitable chip on the screen to make it worth replacing.
I have taken the headlamp wash and wipers out of the car to refurb them - I have the replacement spindles etc, but it needs a new motor - I haven’t bothered as I think it looks better without.
Inner wings and wing bracket need welding – been quoted 12 hours – a job for the winter.
The paint work has the patina you would expect for a car of this age
It has been undersealed by a previous owner, my examinations haven't identified any rust issues other than the above. It has had floor plans and sills welded at some point in its past.
It drives really well, and everything (yes actually everything) electronic works.
