Description
Harley-Davidson introduced the Softail frame into the model range in the late 1980’s shortly after the 1340cc Evo engine took over from the Shovel Head as the ‘big twin’ power plant. By the time the Fat Boy version became available in the 1990 it was without doubt the most popular bike in the range and so a retro version, the Heritage Softail was launched soon after. Subsequent limited editions of 3, 000 units with special paint colours were then available during different years. 1996 saw this fine version introduced in metallic green and silver, the ‘Nostalgia’ editions had their own tank badge, saddlebags and seat that also distinguished them from the standard Heritage model.
