Description
This is my Ducati 250 which I have owned for 14 years.(2 previous owners) It is a beautiful bike with an interesting documented history but I am reducing my collection and this is the next one to go.
(Delivery may be possible)
The bike was one of a consignment ordered by the Berliner Corporation of New Jersey USA but was subsequently redirected to the UK. Bill Hannah a distributor based in Liverpool bought the whole consignment and then sold them here over a period of time.
Mick Walker, who was an authority on Ducati singles and appointed by Ducati as the official agent for the UK confirms this in writing and that the bike was built in 1966 and has matching numbers. His authority is also confirmed in writing by the Ducati owners club of Great Britain.
He also confirms that the bodywork is period Vic Camp racing components. Vic Camp was the main Ducati distributor for the UK at that time and supplied racing components for Ducatis.
The bike is road legal for daytime use only, as no lights are fitted. I have mainly used it as a show bike and appreciated it as a machine to polish and admire. I am sure that it would be equally suited for use as a parade bike. I have numerous copies of MOT certificates and tax discs from 1999.
There have been many modifications including the following:
Engine.
The cylinder head has been gas flowed and ported.
Lead free valve seats.
Large valves.
Needle roller conversion for rocker spindles.
32mm inlet port.
Full race cam.
Forged high compression piston.
Squish band set and checked by professional engine tuner. (Documented)
Electronic ignition
Conti exhaust system.
Frame etc
The paintwork is powder coated.
Vic Camp style seat, tank and period fairing fitted
Borrani rims
Tommaselli twist grip.
Rear set gear linkage.
THANKS FOR LOOKING NOW GONE TO A NEW CAREFUL OWNERNot so many of these beautiful bikes around now
