I bought this at the beginning of the year with the intention of using it for track days. I’ve done a couple of days at Lydden Hill and loved them so much I’ve decided to upgrade my bike already!
It’s a 2004, with 23k miles and full service history. I’m only the third owner. The bike is totally standard, (it does have an after market can fitted) and very much in road trim. Had I decided to keep it I’d, most likely, make the changes over time to convert it to a more track-focused machine but have decided to upgrade the whole bike, instead.
The original owner had a low speed spill on the bike, resulting in it being declared a CAT N. The seller I bought from fully repaired the bike as a project with his son, who’s doing an engineering qualification. As part of this project, the forks were stripped and rebuilt, rear suspension serviced and areas that showed signs of wear and tear have been refurbished, the swinging arm being the main beneficiary. Consequently, whilst it’s still a 21 year old bike, it looks a lot newer.
