Based on a 1987 Fiat Uno and constructed into Onyx form in 1995-1996 One of just 100 thought to have been manufactured Offered with the large history file and correctly registered on the logbook New Mot with advisories now sorted (brake service - garage receipt included) I BELIEVE THAT FROM 2027 CAR WILL BE TAX-FREE, MoT FREE AND ULEZ COMPLIANT AS A HISTORIC VEHICLE as the V5 says first regd (donor car) 1987. Produced by Onyx Sports Cars Ltd, a UK kit car manufacturer, the Onyx Firecat was introduced in 1995 and was designed by David Golightly. Utilising Fiat Uno donor cars, all Firecats were front-wheel drive and could fit any of the Uno engines, Fiat X1/ 9 or 1. 6 TC Lancia engines. During its five-year production run, just 100 were thought to have been produced, making the Firecat a very rare kit car. Supplied in kit form to the original builder in 1995, this Firecat is fitted with an X1/ 9 1298cc straight-four overhead-cam engine (which was prepped by Avanti before fitting), allied to the five-speed manual transmission. The Onyx is finished in Red with Dark Grey cloth interior upholstery, as well as Black soft-top and tonneau cover. Completed by the original builder between 1995 and 1996, it was purchased by me in 2023. Now showing recorded mileage of c. 68000 miles, the Firecat has been used regularly by the vendor for events and road runs. Featured in Kit Car International magazine on completion, the Firecat benefits from torsion beam rear axle and Spax adjustable front suspension. She is accompanied by a large spares package. Offered for sale with a large history file which comprises original sales literature; a build manual; Uno and Xi/ 9 Haynes manuals; a collection of MOTs going back to 2001; copy of the featuring magazine, and a current V5C document.
