This beautiful classic Airstream RV is well known and admired on the classic race circuits of the UK and Europe. Purchased from a previous UK owner in 2019 by a classic car enthusiast, it became the subject of considerable expenditure to bring it up to the standard required for regular use. The current owner invested just under £50, 000, in addition to the purchase price, with LAS, the UKs leading Airstream RV specialists. The work undertaken included a brand new petrol Cheverolet V8 engine, rebuilt gearbox, new air conditioner, extensive electrical improvements, including 230 volt sockets, solar power, new batteries, inverter and a new Onan generator. It has a new awning in blue and white stripes. The cabin seats and front single beds were re-covered in period-correct velour, along with the dashboard. It has electric steps, 6 new tyres and a recently undersealed chassis. Made to measure blinds and new curtains.
There is a fixed full sized double bed to the rear with new mattress, 2 singles towards the front of the cabin, separate shower and lavatory with sink. There is also a domestic sized gas/ electric fridge freezer, a microwave, a gas cooker and hob and gas hot air heating. It comes with a new gas safety certificate. This is a very sound investment, with all of the expensive jobs having been completed by the current owner. It comes with a huge folder of paperwork and all of the owner's manuals and is showing just over 60, 000 miles which aligns with the MOT history.
