Description
Jeffrey cars were well known 750 racers, however the demand for a road car came about so the J4 and the J5 were developed. George Jeffrey sold out his production rights to Dave Cox of Emba Cars.
Dave produced the most refined model being the J5S, he only made 6 of these in 1974. This car is the very last off the line being chassis no. 6.
It has a Ford gearbox and rear axle, Triumph front suspension with Ford PCD converters, the car was started in 1975 and never finished, it has been in storage ever since, with it are many steering and brake components. It has no screen or bonnet but does have the very sophisticated one piece wings with it. It would make a great road or hill climb car. The engine bay/ mounts is designed to take a Ford cross flow engine, i. e. 711m block etc. Other J5S registered with the DVLA are registered as Jeffrey's with a period registration number and not a 'Q' plate.
