For sale, my Mercedes R107 380SL. Mot, tax and ULEZ exempt. Although mot exempt it's recently had an advisory free mot valid until August 2026.
I purchased this car from the SL Shop in August 2023 but have now decided to put it up for sale due to personal circumstances.
The 380sl is in excellent condition, being maintained and looked after for many years by the SL Shop.
The car has very smart light ivory coloured bodywork with matching hardtop, a brown soft top and Palamino leather interior. It also has working AC which was converted to R134a some time ago.
The car has approx. 117000 miles now and had a comprehensive and high quality body and hard top restoration at around 98000 miles (2010/ 11) with photos to show the extent of the work.
Additionally, invoices show that the timing chains, guides and tensioner were renewed at around 113000 miles. Also, the cooling system was renewed with a new water pump, radiator and thermostat replaced at approximately 114000 miles.
Whilst I've had the car I've attended to a few improvements such as a new steering damper, ARB drop links, tail lamp and hardtop seals. I've also replaced the auxiliary belts and air filter this year.
Recently, I've had the rear soft top windows professionally replaced, and I fitted new sunvisors to replace the baggy originals.
A wind deflector, original toolkit, book pack, history file and two keys plus valet key comes with the car. I also have the original blaupunkt radio cassette that was supplied with the car.
Overall, this is a high quality 380sl that has been cared for and looked after and would take you long distances safely and in comfort as they were designed to do.
