Toying with the sale of my Project Mustang 1st GEN 289 V8 Coupe, LOW MILEAGE. same reason as having my BMW r80 project for sale, I'm going self employed and one or two of my projects has to go to fund work equipment and unfortunately might have to be the bike and car :(
I'm currently still in the process of rebuilding the car still.
History behind the car as far as i know, the car was imported into the UK from New Jersey and was built in New Jersey from previous owner with no paper work other than the NOVA form, no registration/ V5 nothing. Car was used for drag racing in the past i believe back in the states. When i got the Car, it was a non runner and due to been sat in a barn for 30+ years.
I have managed to get the car running on her own but still does require some time but sounds and runs well!
Low mileage car 33000.
Car is now fully registered in the UK and comes with a V5 (reg - GEY 680E)
Car needs new floor pan, i have purchased the driverside full floor pan so just needs to be welded in. i half half of the passengers side floor pan already also. Car would need a new driverside frame rail and torque box aswell as driverside firewall to be welded in.
Brakelines need a refresh and old brake drums could do with updating. Fuel line could be done with been replaced also.
I feel in the right hands and especially someone who has the time this car can be the gem it once was.
I sourced an original radio as car came without and have had it modified so it can be connect to your mobilephone via bluetooth or aux for spotify or hands free etc.
Car has new battery, voltage regualtor, soleniod, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel sender unit, spark plugs and cables, new coil.
Carburetor was taken apart to clean but was going to buy a new one anyways.
the car now sits on 4 GT radial tyres with some lovely chrome centreline alloys off of a corvette. I had to buy so new wheel adapters to make fit as the pcd was slightly different.
Car will require new exhaust, new front chrome bumper, car has signs of patch work to some of the body work that would need re-doing or replacing.
I sourced an original grille and original grille emblem which i now have.
Car showing visable signs of patina (some love it and have told me not to replace/ repair) i was going to have the car sprayed fully black.
Car comes with new plates from statesplates.
I cant remember everythig i have bought of the top of my head but will update with it comes to mind or if you have any questions or want more photos do let me know.
In absolutely no rush to sell the car, no silly offers as they will not be entertained. Hell, i may not even sell the car, its currently just an idea.
Would consider swaps PX for 911 COVIN (replica) + Cash or PX + cash (be interested to see what people have)
Or Straight swap for a Trimble X7 laser Scanner :), long shot but this is what i need for work.
