For sale due to bereavement is my late father's 1989 Caterham 7 1700 Supersprint.
Owned since 1992 and in good overall condition with a highly sought after specification and only 21, 000 genuine miles. Panel work and fibreglass are in excellent condition, with no signs of corrosion in the usual places.
This is a very early 5 speed, long cockpit De Dion model, with LSD, FIA roll bar, heated screen and the later type front suspension with the proper twin wishbone and anti roll bar set up.
The engine is believed to be standard but was converted to Weber Alpha fuel injection by James Whiting in the very early 90's. (Receipts to prove)
Just MoT'd and ready to go. Been sat in the garage for a while, so will probably need a small amount of TLC but comes with a new fuel pump and expensive battery just fitted.
