Description
Ex Museum piece.
Near complete and original 1959 Messerschmitt KR200.
By the looks of it it needs a petrol tank, battery, new piston and rings, and presumably (by the looks of the state of the piston) a new piston barrel. Other than that I would also replace the wiring loom as it looks very old. And maybe the tyres even though they do hold air. But it rolls, steers and stops fine.
Also needs an ignition key and a V5
But an easy project for the person with the interest, tools and knowledge to repair the engine and make the thing run.
Cosmetically it seems OK, no real issues, cracks or holes or rust in dangerous places, reflecting its life for the past two decades in museums - which is why the petrol tank and battery are missing.
Currently located in the Museum of Brands in Notting Hill, London.
Any questions, contact me. It is apparently a hoot to drive, this is a good one and a nice project, even for someone to fix and flip.
