Description
In over 15 years of my ownership, this car has taken me pretty everywhere in Europe. And I rarely have seen a cooler-looking round headlights saloon (I prefer them to estate ones) or in a better colour combination. I (talented and patient friends, in fact, my infinite gratitude goes out to them) upgraded "everything" - 5 Corona rims, M46 gearbox with 5 speed overdrive, power steering, electronic ignition (gone are points and condenser, the Achille's heel of LPG systems), GLT black leather interior, fabulous sounding Alpine head unit, dashboard cover, metal plate. All extras are correct for the vintage year: only Coronas were introduced in 79/ 80 I believe, the front seats are from an early GL and retain the iconic headrests (alongside round headlights, the true design statement of the car).
Assumed as one of the few left, used very little in the last two years and obviously in need of care (power steering needs adjustment, o/ drive can be temperamental, oil consumption is a tad high, the bodywork needs sorting but it's reasonably solid underneath) and I don’t have the time nor the means to accomplish any of those. Don’t even mention the words “drifting,” or "breaking," thank you, we'll soon end up with a billion parts for no cars. It can be driven away but needs timing adjustment since hot start problematic in the apocalyptic, new normal summer heat.
Tax and Ulez-free, not SORN, cheap to insure, no compulsory MOT, LPG converted. Comes with service folder, triple set of keys. V5 IS my name.
Get in touch to learn anything left unsaid by the pictures, or for remaining extra shots as I’m not writing a novel here and really there is quite a lot to say.
Frida Kahlo cushion and leather shift-lever gaiter are not coming with it, sorry.

Come over to see it, tyre kicking will be magnanimously tolerated. Just do so BEFORE you have purchased it.
Thanks for the interest. car brutalism of the highest order. a design statement, particularly in its early, circle headlights version. since then, via its constant restyling, 240s have been horribly normalised and - however improved in pretty much every department - lost a great deal of their aesthetic allure. this colour combination and the light customisation have raised its profile. a quasi head turner, lets put it like that.
