For sale is my beloved 80 series which ive owned for just over a year but starting up my own business is forcing me to sell it. Currently has mot until 01/ 06/ 26.
I purchased this after it had been off the road for 9 years from 2015 - 2024, only covering around 300 miles in that period. Once i got it back i carried out a full service including air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, front and rear axle oils changed, gearbox and transfer box oil changed, x2 new batterys, new wiper linkage and wipers, new auxiliary belts, new bonnet and boot struts, new tail lights, new number plates, new nearside front wheel bearing and x4 new 305/ 70/ 16 comforser cf3000 mt tyres with tuff torque 10j steel wheels. The timing belt was also checked at the time of service as i bought a kit to replace it but never ended up doing it as it looked brand new and i still have the cambelt kit to go with the vehicle.
The vehicle already had a 2" lift on it when i bought it of an unknown brand. As exepcted with the age of the vehicle the underside all had very light corrosion but i have treaded that by wire brushing everything, treated with jenolite rust converter and sealed using lanoguard which i have just done again recently. The only bits of corrosion that need addressing are both front inner wheel arch skins which could be repaired or replaced.
Shortly after this i fitted a safari snorkel, oil catch can, silicon intake pipe and new steering damper. More recent work ive carried out is a 3" x force turbo back exhaust, brake discs pads calipers and hoses all round (brake shoes were checked and were in good condition just adjusted to the new discs, however i do have a new brake shoe kit to go with it), replacement steering box, swivel hub bearings and offside front wheel bearing repalced with new seals however the nearside front hub seal is leaking i just havent had time to sort it yet, x2 new outer cv joints, new nearside front driveshaft, new feont propshaft (i have new ujs for the rear but they dont need doing yet), new radiator and thermostat and all axle and transmission fluids were changed again when the swivel hubs were done.
There are a couple of minor issues, one of which is the nearside front swivel hub leaking, both front inner wheel arches corroded, bodywork has laquer peel on the roof and a fair amount of scratches and dents. Also the aircon doesnt work as the condenser is in poor condition amd because of that i removed the compressor which i still have to go with the vehicle.
I would happily drive this anywhere and it is still my daily driver. If i was in a position to i wouldnt be selling it as that was never my plan. I bought it to keep and fix along the way so ive done anything that has needed doing. I have a fair amount of spare parts to go with it as well.
Im looking for £11, 500 however i am open to serious offers (preferably in person) as i know it does need some work.
