Model T 89 Cruiser
The Francis Barnett T89 Cruiser is a classic motorcycle with a four-speed manual transmission, chain drive, and is powered by the legendary Villiers 2T engine displacing 249cc. This beautiful black and white coloured bike, was manufactured in the UK in 1963, has a power output of 17hp and comes with a V5 registration document. With only 5 previous owners, this 2 stroke motorcycle features a kickstart system and is a unique and affordable addition to any motorcycle enthusiast's collection.
It is registered as historic and therefore free from TAX or MOT.
It appears to be in original, unrestored condition, although clearly it has had many replacement parts in it's lifetime. The mileage corresponds with previous MOTs but given the age of the bike I cannot guarantee its validity.
Overall the condition is very good as you can see from the pictures. It starts and runs well however any buyer must consider that this a 63 year old bike and needs frequent attention. The only issue I'm aware of is the clutch adjuster, which needs frequent adjustment to maintain tension on the clutch cable. It comes with a very comprehensive reproduction owners manual together with a trickle charger and a rear luggage rack that can be fitted if required. It's recently had new plugs, clutch cable and battery.
