A regretful sale of my Toyota Corolla GLi 1994 1. 3L petrol with genuine 73, 000 miles (also known as E10, E100).
I’ve owned this beauty for around 7 years. It was my first classic vehicle to get into the car-meet scene. During the 7 years it’s been driven for the first 2 years, then from 2020–2024 it was put away in storage, During these years I gathered tons of parts as a restoration was needed, which even involved me having to travel abroad to find parts!!
To start with the most obvious, it’s had a full respray this year. Being red, which is prone to fail but understandable on a 31-year-old car, it had to be taken back to bare metal in most places and epoxy primed. It’s been resprayed to the original “Super Red.” A top job has been done which was probably the most expensive fix.
These are some of the parts replaced new:
• Alternator
• All engine belts
• All pads, discs / brake shoes
• Rear brake lines
• Brake drum backing plate
• Rear brake drum piston
• Front ball joints and drop links
• NSF wheel bearing
• All tyres
• All fluids (brake fluid, gearbox oil)
• (Full service)
• Rear door handles
• Battery and more
Upgrades:
• Custom front fog lights
• Front custom lip
• Custom side skirts
• Custom exhaust (not too loud)
• Upgraded clear front headlights
• Custom orange side lights
• Custom rear bumper for number plate fitment
• Rear middle light (the light got a hairline crack when fitting)
• Wind deflectors
• Custom alloys (alloys I bought used so have signs of wear, was looking to replace with similar new ones. (The only upgrade I got second-hand)
Underbody:
Car is solid underneath with some very minimal welding done. Luckily it was parked in storage most of the time so rust wasn’t an issue. If you look at all the past MOTs online, rust or any underseal isn’t mentioned! This was one of the main reasons I bought it back then. Arches and sills are like new. Will have a jack ready on viewing.
Interior:
Interior speaks for itself. Hard to believe it’s 31yrs old , it’s like the rear seats have never been used! Immaculate inside (only around the ignition it has wear due to keys scraping the plastic).
Engine bay:
Engine bay area is clean and standard, nothing has been upgraded, just things replaced for servicing. Being a Toyota it’s sweet as a nut, starts first time with no issues, rattles, or squeaks.
Paperwork:
It comes with a full folder of paperwork dating back to when it was new with tons of service books from Toyota dealership in its early life along with other work done sheet.
The only issue I can mention is the handbrake. It’s had shoes, piston, backing plate, it was working fine but now doesn’t seem to work at all, so guessing the cables will need doing.
Overall I have had a lot of work done to this car and I can safely says it’s probably the cleanest/ best looking one around atm! Has mot till 28/ 04/ 2026 and is current taxed and insured with a agreed payout value at 5k with Adrian flux
Priced at £4, 995 which I think is a steal for a car in this immaculate, restored condition, and not to mention being super rare! So no offers! I have all pictures of work done and receipts to back it up. But most is obvious when looking at it as it’s still all new.
As said this is a regrettable sale as funds are needed to put towards my transport business!
Car is currently on a private plate which will be removed, so a deposit will be needed once viewed or agreed on sale! Bear in mind it will take 1-2 for new v5 to arrive
