Description
The Crossfire is essentially a Mercedes, with a 3199cc V6 producing 215bhp and 229lb/ ft of torque. It was built at the Karmann plant in Osnabruck, Germany alongside the 1st generation Mecedes SLK on which it was based. It has a maximum speed of 150mph and will do 0-60mph in less than 7secs. This one is rust-free and original with just 52k miles. The interior is really good too and everything works as it should with a/ c, cruise control, leather, electric heated seats etc. . I didn't even wash it prior to the photos! This model was a result of the Mercedes/ Chrysler merger from 1998 to 2007 and is a superb, tough, reliable car which will easily average 30mpg and I have seen 42mpg on a long run! It has an advisory free MOT until 25 June 2026. VED is a reasonable £430/ year. 2 Keys and full book pack. It's a proper one. Reluctantly offering for sale as I have too many cars, but if it doesn't sell before the end of October I shall insure and tax it for another year!It is smooth, fast, corners like it's on rails and looks fantastic. I've had it nearly a year and have done approaching 6000 miles. It has been trouble free. You simply can't buy anything so good for so little money. I would happily run it as my only car, but my wife refuses to go in it, as it is 'too low'. It is faster than any production version of the legendary Jaguar E-type!
