Description
This is an original 2004 KTM 450 EXC Racing. It has 15 hours on the clock (300 miles). It has a 540 bore extention as fitted from the factory. I’m the second owner of this bike, though I’ve only ridden it once. The original owner sadly had an accident (not involving this bike) shortly after taking delivery, which prevented them from riding again. As a result, the bike sat untouched in their garage for nearly 20 years.
It was later acquired by a friend of mine, who had the engine and mechanicals professionally stripped and rebuilt by HT Racing Services. Despite the full rebuild, he never rode it and sold it to me in April 2023.
On my first (and only) outing with the TRF, several riders remarked on how original the bike was—still sporting genuine parts—and persuaded me it would be a shame to use it on the trails. Since then, it’s only been ridden for MOTs and servicing.
It’s currently stored in my garage, but I now need the space for a touring bike more suitable for my wife and me.
Condition Notes:
All servicing has been carried out by my trusted local motorcycle garage.
There was some light cracking on the seat plastic (towards the top), which I’ve covered with tape to prevent further damage.
The hand guards do not seem to be original.
This is a chance to pick up an original, well-maintained machine with a unique history and minimal use. A great enduro bike for the right enthusiast.
