She may the cheapest Vanquish around but I’m confident that it’s much better than many low milage garage queens that never get used.
This is a very special car, one that has been used as intend not sat in a garage all its life but its also one that has been loved!
With the most extensive and comprehensive history. All carried out by Aston martin works and Aston specialists with invoices totalling over £100k!!
The cars story
The first owner bought the car in 2005 being one of the last before the change to the “Vanquish S”. As such it has some crossover parts such as the S front splitter and seats. This year also came with unique set of wheels (not currently on the car but will come with the sale). He used it extensively as his main transport. Adding around 60k to the car. During this time servicing and repairing the car with Aston Martin works. Then at some point I’m told he purchased a new Ferrari and the Aston sat in the garage for a while.
Then his son took ownership of the car and sent it to be recommissioned at " PF Autos " a well respected classic car restoration specialist. Where the car was extensively recommissioned.
This work involved –
• Engine and gearbox removal
• Subframes removed, repaired and re-powder coated
• All suspension bushes/ components replaced
• All brake disc, pads, hoses and callipers replaced
• Front wings, bumper removed and repainted
• Stainless steel exhaust fitted
• Fuel pumps replaced
• Interior removed and leather recolonised
• Ac components replaced
• Full service inc spark plugs
• All fluids, Antifreeze, Brake fluid, Diff, ASM, Gearbox, PAS
• Wheel refurbishment
The list goes on and on. Over 400 hours - This work alone cost almost £30k
The car then passed on to its 3rd owner who used the car as part of a small collection and continued to document its history having the car serviced and repaired with local specialist Desmond Smail Aston martin. After a while he sold the car to me needing a few minor repairs as he needed to concentrate on a house renovation.
I purchased the car in the summer. I was originally looking for a db9 as I had always wanted to take an Aston across Europe but this car came up, I just couldn’t resist a real Bond car Aston. I changed the oil and filter, replaced the engine breather pipes and oxygen sensors that had caused the engine light to come as well as replacing the gearbox accumulator that had a slight leak. I also added Bluetooth phone and streaming Then took her off on a 2000-mile trip on which she performed faultlessly.
The only reason I’m selling is that I don’t have enough indoor storage and other vehicles are arriving that meant this would have to sit outside.
Bodywork
Generally excellent very minimal stone chips and all paint work carried out to an excellent standard.
Interior
The car benefits from the Vanquish S seats which are in excellent condition. All the electronics work and the car is rattle and squeak free.
