Description
Late-production Plus Four with Triumph TR4A engine
Comprehensive history file & original documents
In long term ownership since 2006 the car was in regular use, well maintained and garaged. Taken off the road routinely for winter 2023 the car unfortunately did not return to the road until summer 2025 when the maintenance tasks started were completed. The car has subsequently traveled approximately 55 miles. The car starts and runs well but does have a pull to the left which requires investigation. Some cosmetic attention is required, with areas of bubbling paint and light rust noted, but overall, the car presents well. There was recent repair work done to the rear wheels; the brake shoes were replaced, and a passenger side wheel stud was fixed. Practical features include removable seat cushions with storage under. The car has a Foldflat windscreen and wind deflectors. A box of miscellaneous parts including a partial exhaust system, a front bumper and a windscreen will be included in the sale.
With its rare specification, detailed provenance, and classic Morgan character, this Plus Four is both a desirable collector’s piece and an engaging driver’s car

A box of miscellaneous parts including a partial exhaust system, a front bumper and a windscreen will be included in the saleThe Morgan Plus Four is admired for its blend of vintage style and spirited performance. Introduced in 1950 with larger engines than the 4/ 4, it became known for lively handling, hand-built craftsmanship, and enduring British charm. By 1968, the Plus Four was nearing the end of an era, its 2138cc Triumph TR4A engine while giving strong performance had come to the end of its production and this had prompted Peter Morgan to Develop the +8 with the V8 Rover engine that was introduced in 1968. This Car is believed to be one of the last 40 TR engined +4’s produced.
First registered in October 1968 and finished in Signal red with a black leather interior, it retains its wooden dashboard and factory instruments, and comes with a comprehensive history file. This includes the original V. E. Registration Book, early tax and MOT records, Morgan factory order book copies, and photographs documenting major repair work in 1985.
