• Advisory-free MOT until July 2026.
A great long-distance cruiser with plenty of torque that has done a few road trips up to the top of Scotland.
Condition
I’m a stickler for keeping it in top working order. Throughout my ownership, the car has only been maintained by an independent Mercedes specialist in Macclesfield; they know the car well and when I ask about the mechanical condition, the reply is always “there’s nothing to tell you”. I have the car serviced every 6, 000 miles using genuine Mercedes service parts and Mobil 1 oil. The exterior is clay bar’d once a year after winter and is machine polished every 3-months or so. I also suspect the previous owner has ceramic coated the car. The glass is protected with RainX. Lots of tread left on the Michelin PS5 tyres.
M156 AMG 6. 2L V8 and 7-Speed Box
In great working order. Most common issues with the M156 have been addressed. The PCV system has been replaced, new Bosch fuel injectors, intake manifold inspection with new gaskets, new cam covers and gasket set, cam shafts and buckets were inspected with no abnormal wear or issues found, new gearbox sensor plate.
Known Weaker Points
There is an intermittent suspension squeaking and knocking noise, which will likely be a ball joint or bushing. Only semi noticeable when going over speed bumps at slow speed. I’ve had my independent Mercedes specialist, an independent garage, and an MOT tester try to find it but the suspension is in good working order. I was told it’ll likely raise it’s head on a future service or MOT. Both rear wheels are curbed but I have touched them up. The paintwork does have some small scratches but still in excellent condition for age and mileage.
Reason for Sale
I work from home and the car is my ‘daily driver’. I’m now working more and more from the office, so need something that isn’t a 6. 2 AMG V8 and a little more modern.
I am a private seller. As such, the car will be sold as seen and no warranty or returns offered. I will conduct any test drives. Viewings welcome for serious buyers. I have a copy of the Car Vertical report I did when I purchased the car in July 2024 - which I can share.
Private number plate (T13 BMA) not included in sale. The original number plate is LJ07 UCM and has been put back onto the car. 7-former keepers plus myself. Mileage may go up slightly as still in use. Service History
