This 1968 Benelli Leoncino Scrambler is one of a handfull of rare classic bikes left from our collection which we have been dissolving this past year due to continued health and age related reasons.

If you dont care for long descriptions, please feel free to skip to the photos and enjoy the images. If those images raised your interest level i am sure you will take the time to read the short remainder of our description as posted
here. Benelli Leoncino Scrambler "Hunters Special", extremely rare US-only model, build in very limited numbers exclusively for the american market.

This bike was owned previously by a collector in Italy who had it parked in his living room. It was always properly maintained and stored since new. Its condition can be described as truly exceptional for a 57 year old motorcycle.

I was told by a dealer in the US some years back that less than 50 of these were ever sold. Any and all verifiable info on this specific model is welcome and will be added here if we can comfirm it through other sources. That said we do not really know what this little gem is worth either. When we bought it it wasn't a question of money, my wife fell in love with and that was it...:-)

Too nice to ride it was parked in our vacation house entrance and taken out once a year for a run around the house and a service and then parked again where everyone could see it.

Mileage is original at 1710 miles. Starts up on the first or second kick. A video link for a propper stone cold start and idle can be send upon request.

As said before, when we saw it advertised we just had to have it. Has the original paint, original watertransfer emblems and decals and I'd wager to guess it still has the original tires mounted, though tires from that period do not have markings on them to determine age, at least there is no number or markings that i could find

This "Hunters Special" was a very limited model only for the north american market that came with a dual rear sprocket setup for riding on country roads and when arriving at the forrest switching over to the larger sprocket to ride the off-road trails. It also had a special utility rack on the back of the bike.

This little gem comes with the original grey-cover ownership document booklet from Italy from 1968.

If you love it at first sight, as we did and just have to own it, the reasonable asking price should not present a problem
