Selling my Ford Transit 1976, P reg.
In my possession it’s had a new original fuel tank (the old one was leaking) a new distributor cap, plugs, and leads, and a new air filter. I have also replaced the engine and transmission oil. Along with this I’ve undersealed the chassis, and also put new engine mounts on as they were degraded.
Good bits:
- Starts first try and drives, it has a good engine and gearbox
-Chassis is in very good condition, no corrosion and it’s been undersealed.
-Very original example, no aftermarket or newer bits been put on, all original.
-Twin wheel truck, they’re getting rarer each year.
-This is the 2. 0 v4 example, which is uncommon.
Bad bits:
-Cab needs repainting as the red is starting to fade.
-There’s some chips that need fixing.
-The wood on the body needs sanding and re-tarnishing/ waxing.
-The clutch cable needs tightening.
Other than that it starts first try and can run and drive, it’ll be a good light project for someone who has the time to finish it.
It’ll also come with an extra 4 wheels, a gearbox, and a few other smaller bits.
