Here for sale is my 2001 Range Rover P38 DHSE specification in Alveston Red over light stone beige interior. When purchasing I looked for the very best original example to keep long term, unfortunately my new house only has one parking space and this has been a second car. This P38 is in wonderful condition for its age having covered just shy of 84, 000 miles with 3 previous owners prior to myself.
This vehicle is exceptionally well maintained having had thousands spent on it throughout its life and in the last few years. Some of the works taken place recently in the last 12 months include:
4 new Goodyear tyres. New front and rear brake discs, pads and callipers. New engine oil cooler pipes New Injector leak off pipes. New gearbox oil cooler pipes. New front and rear suspension bushes with poly bushes at the rear New front and rear suspension airbags New Front prop shaft Universal joints x2 4x new suspension bump stops Suspension air compressor has been rebuilt Full service including engine oil, oil filter and auxiliary belt, gearbox oil flush and subsequent filter change, transfer box oil replacement, front and rear differential oils replacement. New engine crank pulley. Air conditioning belt and tensioner Air conditioning leak checked and re gassed HEVAC control led display and backlights replaced. New engine mounts. New O rings fitted to heater core pipes. Heated seat elements repaired.
This vehicle also benefits from a recent headliner replacement which was carried out by the previous owner. Due to the substantial amount of work carried out in recent years this P38 drives wonderfully and commands the road as it should. The air suspension system is still intact and fully working.
As shown in the photos there are some signs of wear and tear such as wear to the steering wheel and a small dent on the tailgate, however this is to be expected with 24 year old vehicle. The interior is in otherwise great condition with the odd mark here and there but the seats and carpets are in excellent condition with no tears or marks and this vehicle comes with the added bonus of a boot liner and a full set of both the original carpet floor mats and the Range Rover branded rubber mats. The exterior is also in great condition having had the door mirror caps recently resprayed. The overall condition of the paint is excellent for a vehicle of this age.
The underside of the vehicle is in great condition as reflected in its recent MOT pass with no advisory items. With no signs of off-road use I can confidently say this P38 has had very easy and well cared for life and would be a reliable and supremely comfortable day to day or weekend cruiser for its next owner. Being a rare DHSE specification car this has all the modern refinements, Heated seats, climate control, cruise control so makes it an easy to drive in today's traffic. I believe this P38 is sure To be an appreciating classic.
