Description
Great example of a usable, classic BMW. Yes it’s “just” the 320i (not the 325i), but it’s a straight 6 E30 touring with a manual transmission and that is a beautiful thing!
Car is in great shape overall with no structural or serious rust issues, just tiny spots here and there - much less serious that the norm for these cars. Paint wants a refresh, but the “matte” look it’s currently got isn’t bad either!
Engine is smooth and strong, starts on the button, no leaks, clutch is good, plenty of meat on recently replaced tires (including on spare).
Interior presents really nicely overall. Drivers seat is well worn, with torn cloth, and the reclining mechanism is broken, but passenger seat and rear seats are near mint. Dash has a small crack in the usual place, but not as bad as many you see. Just part of the lovely patina of the car. ;) Headliner is pinned up, but as it is, not sagging anywhere and is generally presentable.
Recent light recommissioning after a few years off the road under cover. This included a full service and some welding to sills/ jacking points to get through MOT. Now been in regular use for the last couple of weeks and car runs flawlessly around town and on the motorway. Full year’s MOT (until Dec 2026).
It’s a great car if you’re looking for a basis for a full restoration or just an E30 that you can jump in and enjoy straight away. She gets looks and thumbs up everywhere I go!
More pictures to come shortly. Or just come see it. If you’re an E30 fan, I think you’ll like this one.
