Description
1951 Kaiser Frazer Manhattan convertible
Interior trim new, differential newly overhauled original condition
A special version of the Manhattan is the Convertible Sedan, a four-door Cabriolet that was in Frazer's programme from 1949 to 1951. At Kaiser there was a parallel model in the DeLuxe line only in 1949. The car has a retractable fabric roof. The B-pillar was redesigned; it has in the middle a narrow glass strip.[2] Additionally the rear wheels of the Convertible Sedan are concealed. The Convertible Sedan was offered in 1949 for US$3, 295; it was thus the most expensive Kaiser-Frazer model. A Cadillac Series 62 Cabriolet, which from that year was equipped with a 160 SAE-HP V8 engine and an automatic transmission, cost only US$200 more in 1949. Even after the facelift of 1951, there was a Frazer Convertible Sedan. In the last model year it cost US$3, 075.
